Amit Sharma is a notable Academician, well known Journalist and a Writer with a passion of telling stories. His contribution has been widely appreciated as an Anchor too.
Having qualified in UGC-NET in Journalisn and Mass Communication Twice and equipped with over 16 years of industrial experience in addition of more than 5 years full time teaching experience, he blends the learning with real time journalistic exposure. He is highly popular among his students.
Presently, he is associated with IIMT Group of Colleges, Gr. Noida as HOD in Journalism and Mass Communication Department.
He made his contribution in designing and developing course curriculum of various universities, like – Pune University and Algappa University.
He is a well known name in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication with more than one and half decade of experience in Electronic and Print media. He was associated with Sahara Samay TV News channels, ETV News Network, and Hindustan Times group. During his tenure as Reporter, many of his reports got acclaimed at national level.
His works has been recognized and published in different newspapers, magazines, UGC care list journals and national – international conference.

- Managing all departmental work related to classes like preparation of routine, allocating faculty load etc.
- Responsible for preparing a daily News Bulletin and different news-based programs for a national YouTube news channel especially designed for journalism students.
- Organizing guest lectures of media stalwarts.
- Anchoring of special shows for enhancing the brand value of department e,g. an interview based program ‘Indradhanush’ was telecast regularly during summer vacation on Zoom Live which showed the interview of dignitaries from different walk of life.

- Responsible for different aspect of news processing in day-to-day functioning. Having special responsibility of Content Development and Special Bulletins. I prepared RUNDOWN too.
- Along with TV reporting, regularly give reports and articles for the Sahara Samay publications.
